Their anti-ridicalizing properties protect various cells skin components from oxydative stress on unsaturated fatty acids of the cellular membranes, microfibrils of collagen, hyaluronic acid and nucleic acids.

The active ingredient of an extract rich in Quercetin can be recommended in all inflammatory situations because it has the capability to inhibit mediators training of the inflammation : prostaglandins and leucotrienes. An extract - rich in chicoric acid and derived from caffeic acid - can act on an other level by inhibiting the mechanisms of oedema formation and by controlling those of the inflammatory pain.
