  • The understanding of fruit and vegetable physiology: each product must breathe at a specific rate in order to optimize its shelf life. Therefore we take into account the respiration rate, the level of maturity and the storage condition of each variety.
  • An extrapolation tool VITALOG: this computer software helps to choose for each product the optimum packaging/atmosphere conditions in order to reach the best shelf life for the product.
  • Packaging proficiency : The selection of the packaging film or material results from our understanding of the characteristics of each product, as well as from our packaging expertise and our customer’s expectations. We can recommend films to be used on sealed trays, flow packs, pre-made bags with anti-fog coating.
  • Our partnerships: SCALIME Nutrition has enjoyed long term relationships with Research Institutes or Technical Centers such as Inra, technical agreements with CTCPA, CTIFL, etc... etc. as well as with Compagnie Franco Suisse, a well known processor of flexible packaging films.
